Noah’s Hope
On March 15, 2012 Skinny Socials had the pleasure of helping out at Noah’s Hope Spa Event. It was a fabulous evening filled with manicures, pedicures and other pampering treatments. There were also beautiful jewelry pieces and other items in their boutique being sold with donations from each sale going directly to Noah’s Hope.
Noah’s Hope is fighting tirelessly to gain funding for research against LINCL- Batten disease a rare genetic illness that robs children of their speech, balance and mobility. There is little research and attention focused towards LINCL-Batten since it is so rare. The VanHoutan family is working endlessly to raise awareness and funding to push the research further.
The Skinny Socials Team provided the event with healthy appetizers and low calorie cocktails. The menu included some of our personal favorites; the Avocado Endive Scoops and Zucchini Rolls, as well as some newly added options, the Ricotta Toasts and Pesto Tortellini Skewers. Each item less than 75 calories with the Endive Scoops coming in at only 25. Co-founder and organizer of the spa event Pam Murino mentioned how great it was to see that we mention the calories on the menu so that you know what you are eating! The best part is washing it down with a low calorie drink. Our signature feature was the Cucumber Lemon Spa-tini. Light and refreshing with a fresh cucumber garnish makes it a perfect spa cocktail! Thanks again to Noah’s Hope for allowing us to be a part.
